🎆 Happy FOREth of July!

🎆 Happy FOREth of July!

Today is the most patriotic day of the year for every red-blooded American in this great land. The Fourth of July is one of the biggest holidays of the year. No gifts are exchanged, and no presents are given—except the present of freedom!
Our Founding Fathers (and mothers!) fought against tyranny to create one of the greatest nations to ever exist. The first president known to play golf was William Howard Taft (1909–1913), but I like to believe that if ol’ George Washington ever picked up the sticks, he would’ve dominated the course like he dominated the British all those years ago.
’Merica!
Our country has seen times of deep division, but also moments of incredible unity. Today, the political left and right often feel like opposing teams locked in a nonstop battle—kind of like Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson in the ’90s. Ask any golfer from that era and they’ll tell you passionately who they rooted for.
We get caught up in the bickering—understandably so. The media thrives on outrage, and it's easy to buy into it. It’s human nature to focus on the negatives more than the positives (that’s why you remember every bad shot and forget most of the good ones). Some say it goes back to caveman days—being wired to avoid danger.
Still doesn’t help me avoid the bunker. 😅
But today, let’s drop the sides. Let’s forget the teams. Let’s come together—just as people—to celebrate this amazing country we call home.
Let’s be kind to one another, no matter what our political views may be. Let’s show a little extra love, a little more patience, and a lot more gratitude—not for things, but for what truly matters…each other.
So while we enjoy our day off (have fun at work, Brits 😉), let’s fire up the grill, crack open a cold one, and celebrate America and its people. Spend time with your neighbors, family, and friends. Remember, this round of life moves even quicker than a round of golf, so take a few extra moments today to appreciate just how lucky we are to live in a place as free and beautiful as this.
Happy Birthday, America—Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.
⛳🎇
